Hi,

Hope you are doing well !

Yes, one LLP can have 3 designated partners.

A minimum of two partners will be required for formation of an LLP. There will not be any limit to the maximum number of partners.

It doesn't matter he is sleeping or active partner.

Hi,

- As per law atleast 2 designated partners are required. You can appoint 3 designated partners. There is no concept of active and sleeping in LLP. All the partners will be responsible for the management and execution of the acts of LLP. Atleast 1 DP should be resident in India.

Thanks

Yes, LLP can have 3 designated partners. There is no problem. It's just that at least one partner should be Indian resident.

The minimum number of partners to incorporate an LLP is 2. There is no upper limit on the maximum number of partners of LLP. Among the partners, there should be minimum two designated partners who shall be individuals, and at least one of them should be resident in India. The rights and duties of designated partners are governed by the LLP agreement. They are directly responsible for the compliance of all the provisions of LLP Act 2008 and provisions specified in LLP agreement.

Yes there can be 3 designated partner in an llp. There is nothing as active or sleeping partner in LLP as is in partnership act, only requirement is to have 1 partner resident in India.

Hope you find the information helpful if you do please rate it 5 and provide your valuable feedback for my improvement.

Thank you
