• Restaurant service

What's the GST rate for soft drinks or Red Bull if it's served in a restaurant? Confusion is if it's composite then the principal supply is service so therefore it's 5% but there's a another view that it's 28%+cess. What's the correct rate of GST in the above scenario?

Hi,

- Sale of aerated drinks is taxable @28% plus cess @12% whether restaurant is serving it or selling it as a packet on MRP basis.

Thanks

In my view, it's a composite service and 5% rate will be charged.
