Hi- i have failed to E-Verify my ITR for AY 2017-2018. I have applied for "Condonation" for late E-Verifying my return. The questions I have are: A) Is the condonation approved by the CPC or by my Assessing Officer (AO) B) How long does it take for "Condonation Approval"? (It has been more than 3 months since I applied) C) Once condonation is approved, does it take some more time for processing or does condonation and approval happen together. D) Will I get any Email from the ITD about my condonation approval and processing.

As such, there is no timeline for accepting condonation.
Just wait for some time and check the status online regular basis.
Once it is accepted/approved, your ITR will get processed.

1 the condonation for e verifying return would be approved by CPC.
2 it generally takes more than 1 month but not so long i.e. 3 months.
3 once condonation is approved then it will take some time to process your income tax return.
4 I don't think you will receive email, you need to check your income tax account and you will see there if the condonation is approved. You need to check in the place where you applied for condonation.

Condonation of delay is granted generally in genuine cases but it is not a matter of your right. You may check the status in the efiling portal after logging in.
A) Condonation is approved by the CPC.
B) Its normally done within a month but in case it is not done, you may try to e-verify the return again. If it fails, you may send ITR V duly signed by post with acknowledgement due along with a covering letter explaining in detail the circumstances for not verifying the return filed by you.
C) It should normally be processed within 6 months. Many times its very fast in the case of refunds.
D) You may or may not get email about the approval but the status can be seen in the efiling portal.
