• Small coaching center related

Hello,

I am opening up a small coaching center in my residential building only. I am kind of confused. Will it be treated under Commercial Tax and Property? Will I be allowed to put a Banner/Hoarding at the front of the building with my coaching center's name?

Note: all the flat owners have agreed to let me open my coaching center in the building. I just want to know will their be any LEGAL actions if I put up a Banner/Hoarding?

Thank you.

Hi

Although such operations of coaching classes in residential areas is illegal as it creates chaos in the residential area, yet it has been operative in many cities.

There have been cases in Jaipur and Delhi where Court has ordered such coaching institutes to evacuate and move elsewhere in commercial areas.

On a lighter note, I would suggest that it won't be much a cause of concern if the institute is small and other residents of the building have no issue. Also, the building society rules must not prohibit such commercial use.

It should not be a problem till the time it becomes big and create chaos in society.

Many people run tuition at home but I won't suggest putting a hoarding or something.

Dear Sir,

Hope you are doing well !!

It is not advisable to put up a banner/hording.

Hi,

- To safeguard yourself, take NOC in writing from the society authorized person on their letterhead.

Thanks
