• GST ITC on construction of immovable property

Hi,
My firm is a partnership firm. The firm's business is to commercially rent property. Now in the course of business, Its constructing a property to give it on commercial rent.
Can the firm claim input tax credit of the GST that has been charged on various products, services and work contracts by different vendors for construction of the property?

The firm is already registered with GST. If not, is there any way out?

- Construction of building falls under the category of works contract service and only person engaged in providing such services are eligible for availing ITC on works contracts services. Please call to discuss in length.

Only the person engaged in the field of construction can claim it's ITC credit and since you are in the business of renting you can't claim ITC for such service.
