Government have any benefit for tax payer who is continuously pay the income tex since 6 year.
Under the whole income tax act, there is no provision that says that any compensation or benefit is available if tax payer continuously pay the income tax.
But, if you have any mediclaim insurance policy of your husband, you can claim a deduction under section 80D.
Ma'am your query is not clear but as far as I understand you are asking if government provides any benefit to such person and I would say no such benefit is provided by government.
However you will have to file return on your husband's behalf as his legal heir and will have to pay the tax if any or can claim any refund.
If you need any assistance you can call me or mail me.
Hope you find the information helpful if you do please rate it 5 and provide your valuable feedback for my improvement.
Thank you
Hi Nilam
We are sorry but there is no such compensation provided through the income tax department. Further, if your husband had any income in FY 2018-19 upto the date of his death, his legal heir is required to submit ITR on his behalf.
Sorry Ma'am, there is nothing like benefit/compensation for regular tax payer.
Even, you will have to file his ITR for FY 2018-19 and pay taxes/claim refund if anything (in the capacity of legal heir).
Your husband has been paying tax on the income he was earning. There is nothing like paying compensation on death which is paid by government. In case he was employed in Government sector then there could be pension / compensation. This you need to check with the pupil he was working.
No there are no benefit for being a regular tax payer.
