Dear Sir,

Hope you are doing well !!

Have you received any notice for penalty?

Late filing attracts penalty called late fee. The late fee is Rs. 100 per day per Act. So it is 100 under CGST & 100 under SGST. Total will be Rs. 200/day*. The maximum is Rs. 5,000. There is no late fee on IGST in case of delayed filing.

Along with late fee, interest has to be paid at 18% per annum. It has to be calculated by the taxpayer on the tax to be paid. The time period will be from the next day of filing to the date of payment.

Hi,

- System is auto-calculating late fees for GSTR-3B in the next month return.

- For NIL GST returns, there is a late fees of Rs. 20 per day otherwise it is Rs.50 per day subject to Rs.5,000.

- Late fee is completely waived off till March 2019.

- In your case, only late fees will be applicable. Interest will not be applicable as there was no sales resulting into zero output GST liability.

- As such there is no exemption for small industries.

Thanks

No, there is no exemption from filing return of income. You will have to pay late fees as applicable.

Late fees was waived for those who had filed return before March 2019.

They can charge late fee from you and as such your flour mill doesn't attract any tax so no interest can be levied.

You must first pay all the liabilities of yours and then surrender your GST registration.

Hope you find the information helpful if you do please rate it 5 and provide your valuable feedback for my improvement.

Thank you

Hello Sir,

You need to pay the applicable late fees.

late fees was waived for those taxpayers who were unable to file GSTR-1, GSTR 3B or GSTR-4 for the period July 2017 to September 2018 by the due date but furnished the same between 22 December to 31 March, 2019.

It is advisable to take the help of CA for the same.

Hello,

There is no exemption from late fees for small industries.

You can file NIl returns for the due months and late fee would be Rs. 20 per day subject to a maximum of Rs. 5000 each return.

I hope this answer satisfies your requirement.

Dear Sir,

There is no any exemption for small industries.

It is important to note that the late fee was waived only for those who had filed the returns on or before 31st March, 2019.
