Dear Sir,
Hope you are doing well !!
-You can download the form 26AS through online portal. It contains the all details like TDS deduction, year of deduction, employer name etc.
-In case you have been allotted two UANs, you can get one of them deactivated (generally, the previous one). There are two methods to get the UAN deactivated and your EPF account transferred as per the EPFO website. Enlisted below are the two methods:
Method 1
This process is a bit time taking and the resolution rate is also very low. Thus, EPFO has come up with a new procedure in which it will be easier for a member to merge his two UANs and transfer his EPF easily. Let us discuss this method in detail below:
Method 2
Hello Sir/Madam
if your TDS is not deducted then plz check your form 26AS , if your salary amounts shown there then you can demand Form 16 (traces generated)from your employer
No you can't get the form 16 now if you name was not mentioned at the time of filing TDS return. There are no issues you can file return without form 16 also.
Hope you find the information helpful if you do please rate it 5 and provide your valuable feedback for my improvement.
Thank you
- Unless any TDS was deducted on your account, Form 16 will not be generated.
- To close UAN numbers, you need to contact the employer of particular UAN number as they have the admin rights to create it and delete it.
Hi
Check Form 26AS,if its reflecting there, then you can ask for Form 16 or even you can file return on 26 AS amount basis. No need for form 16.
You can get in touch with previous employers, under whom the UAN in created. They can close it.
Hope it helps
It is employer responsibility to issue form 16. As this taxes are not deducted you should pay the tax on your income as self assessment tax and file return. The employer may get an notice for non deduction of taxes subsequently. He would have a interest exposure once you pay your taxes.
You should merge the UAN. This can be done ONLINE using OTCP portal of EPFO.
