Dear sir,

Here is my reply to your query:

You can return the products by rasing a debit note along with the original invoice issued by the vendor.

You can generate the e way bill on the basis of debit note.

Thanks and Regards

- Raise debit note mentioning the original invoice number.

- If the value of goods is more than Rs.50k, generate E-Way bill also.

Simply return the goods and he will raise the sales return invoice and show it in his GSTR 1 and if you have taken the credit of such goods reverse it, if not taken you dont have to do anything.

Hope you find the information helpful if you do please rate it 5 and provide your valuable feedback for my improvement.

Thank you.

Hi

As far as GST is concerned, if you have not claimed the relevant ITC, you need not file anything in GST returns when you are returning the goods.

Debit notes/ credit notes in GST are in relation to outward supplies and shall be issued by your supplier. In your case, the supplier shall issue a credit note.

For accounting purposes and not considering GST, you may raise a general debit note when you are returning the goods.

If you had claimed the ITC in relation to such supplies, you may reverse the same now.

Hello,

Under GST, the supplier will have to issue a credit note to you.

If you have claimed the ITC on the above purchase, you will have to reverse the same.

I hope that this answer satisfies your requirements.
