• Claim of ITC

ITC as per gstr 2a for the month of September is 5000 but electronic credit ledger showed that nil ITC available

So I filed gstr 3b without claiming any ITC.

Can I claim my ITC in next month?
Can I claim ITC as per gstr 2a eventhough it doesn't appear in electronic credit ledger?

- ITC will be reflected in ledger once you claim it in GSTR-3B. If ITC is reflecting in 2A, you are eligible to take ITC in 3B.

Hello,

ITC appears in the electronic credit ledger once you claim the eligible ITC.

You can claim the ITC of September not claimed in September in the next month.

Yes, you can claim your eligible ITC and that will appear in electronic credit ledger for set off against your liability.

I hope that this answer satisfies your requirements.

Hi

ITC in electronic credit ledger gets reflected once you file your GSTR 3B.

If it's appearing in your 2A, you can claim it.

Claim it in the next month.

After the new circular it is not advisable to claim ITC if same is not available in 2A.

And since your 2A shows zero credit you cannot even claim 20% of that.

You can claim such credit till the filing of annual return or GSTR 3B of September 2020.

Wait for your supplier to upload GST invoice or ask him to update his GSTR 1.

Hope you find the information helpful if you do please rate it 5 and provide your valuable feedback for my improvement.

Thank you.

yse you can claim.

But before claiming ITC you need to satisfy few conditions to claim ITC-

1. You need to have purchase invoice with you.

2. You should have made payment of such invoice with in 180 days. (if it is service)( For service for which payment is not done beyond 180 days, ITC needs to be curtailed.)

3. Invoice needs to have your GSTN.

Yes, you can claim in the subsequent month.

Once you claim ITC through GSTR-3B it will reflect in your electronic credit ledger.
