• Taxability of RWA

Ours is RWA and we filed the Income Tax Return seeking exemption of members contributions and offering only other income like bank interest to tax. Intimation u/s 143(1) has not accepted our view and added the receipts as income. Please guide us how to file rectification

- Copy of the tax return

- Section under which exemption is claimed in ITR

- Which ITR form has been filed.

The RWA follows the concept of mutuality and hence the amount received from members is not to be shown anywhere in your income tax return.

Just file the return without showing any such receipts as its not part of income.
