Hi
You don't need to register under GST in both the above cases till your turnover crosses the threshold of 20 lacs.
Hello, I am a SEBI registered investment advisor offering online services through website. Turnover is less than 20 lakhs as of now. Do I need to register for GST if: 1) I offer services solely through my own website 2) I offer services also by integrating with platforms like smallcase (essentially they offer compliance and trade execution service through various brokers. For example, as an advisor I can design a portfolio of stocks to buy, my clients can buy the entire portfolio by clicking on a single button using smallcase ) In both cases, payments from clients are received directly to my current account. I need to pay a commission to smallcase if I chose to use their platform. Appreciate your views.

Dear Sir,
Hope you are doing well !!
You need to take GST registration only if your turnover crosses the limit of Rs 20 lakh.
As of now, your turnover is below Rs 20 lakh, you are not required to get GST registration.
- If smallcase is an e-commerce operator then you are required to register for GST mandatorily irrespective of turnover limit otherwise after crossing the threshold limit of Rs.20 lacs.
