• Missed purchase invoice update in GST portal

Dear All,

In our GST filing, we have missed uploading many purchase invoices from May 2020 to Feb 2020 totalling upto 25 lacs, but it all has been uploaded by suppliers and it reflects in GSTR 2A in the same months, can we upload those missing purchase invoices in March GSTR2 filing? If so, what will be the invoice date we need to give?

- Only sales invoices are uploaded through gst return 1. No need to upload purchase invoices under GST.

Hi

For your purchase invoices (April 20 till date) against which ITC is reflected in 2A, ITC can be claimed in GSTR 3B till Sep 21. Do this with March 21 return itself.

For claiming ITC, you don't need to mention any invoice dates.

Hi,

I assume that invoices were from May 2020 to Feb 2021

You can take the credit of those invoices in your March GSTR 3B Return and in that return you don't give the invoice wise details but a consolidated figure of your ITC, there will not be any reporting of your Invoice date

GSTR2 concept has not been abolished by the GST and you need to claim that missing ITC in your GSTR 3B in All other ITC column.

Hope it helps!!

Hope i am able to solve your query.

Thanks & Best regards
