• Interest payment in a different challan

Hi,
I deducted TDS under section 194J on 24th July 2021, but paid it on 29th September 2021 and paid only 2 months interest. Subsequently upon realization that I had paid less interest (Supposed to be 3 months), I paid the remaining 1 month interest on 10th October 2021. I used CHALLAN NO.ITNS 281 for this interest payment (I selected Section 194J during this payment.
Do I have to show this interest payment in my Quarter 2 TDS return? If yes, in the RPU in the Annexure 1 (Deductee details), do I have to mention the deductee detail also, leaving the TDS space blank?

- In oct 2021, interest is to be paid for 4 months (July to Oct 2021). Don't add deducted separately, show interest amount in same deductee details alongwith the TDS amount.

Good Morning

you have to show interest challan in challan section only no need to mention interest separately in deducte section

system will auto calculate interest

else you can file TDS return without payment of interest and subsequently when interest demand raised by department then can adjust interest from such interest challan
