• Paid TDS for whole sale at beginning and extra amounts remaining

Hi, I had purchased a property in India. The cost is around 1 Cr INR. I was supposed to deduct TDS on each installment and pay it online using NSDL site.
During first installment payment, I was supposed to pay 25000/- INR but I ended up paying 250000/- INR. I realized it later looking at bank statements. I had updated Builder on this and I haven't paid TDS on remaining installment payments. If I combine payments of all TDS to be paid, it seems I have paid 120000/- INR extra.
My queries are
1. How will I get the extra payments which I have done against the TDS payment. I understand the Builders will claim the remaining amount and can compensate it later. Please update if this understanding is correct.
2. Please update if the above understanding is incorrect and there is any issue with the way TDS is paid.

Thanks
Ashutosh
