My income tax return filing

First you need to download prescribe utility ITR form from income tax website then fill ur necessary details such as income details ,tax deposit details etc. And upload the same.

You can file your income tax return by using the software provided by the Income Tax Department in its portal at https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in.

The software for the IT returns for the assessment year 2015-16 are not yet made available in the Income tax department portal and it may take another 10 to 15 days.

If your tax situation is simple, you may file the return on your own, as it is user friendly. Otherwise, you can take the help of tax return preparer or a Chartered Accountant for filing your it return. However,if you need advice on tax planning and tax management, it is advisable to take the help of a Chartered Accountant.

Dear Tax Payer,

If you are not very sure about the procedure, it is better to consult a Chartered Accountant who can help you with your tax filing to avoid mistakes in IT Filing.

Also note that the due date has been extended to 31 August 2015 for the AY 2015-16 and the new Excel/JAVA form is yet to be released by the IT department.
