I have submitted Fuel and medical bills for consideration for exemption from my income tax. My employer has however missed this and calculated and deducted higher tax w/o considering the above. How can I claim this back? Look forward to your advice
How much of fuel expenses of my salary can be exempted? I have fuel expense to tune of 80K and most of my travel expense is for official purpose.
We need to see your form 16, CTC letter and other documents to arrive at it. If fuel expenses are for official purpose, you can claim it entirely. But medical reimbursement can only be claimed for INR 15000.
Please feel free to call/revert in case of any doubts
