Transfer from mother

Please let us know your doubt.

Bank transfer within family can be treated as loan or gift. Income tax is not applicable in both the case.

Gift has to be shown in the return of income.

How much amounts have been transferred? My answers will depend on the same.

If it is a blood relation and the person falls under the definition of relative then No tax is to be paid.
