Hello,

Please feel free to ask him to issue you a proper GST Invoice. You may check his name on the website by merely putting the GST number on the website www.gst.gov.in.

If the name pops up after putting in the number then he is genuine, otherwise not. Also make sure to make the payment via cheque/ bank transfer if he is charging you GST. (preferable)

Trust this clarifies your query.

Feel free to call / get back in case of further clarifications.

Thanking You.

first demand proper GST invoice from vendor and then cross check his GST number from GST.gov.in website only after that pay him , some persons doing wrong practices and collect tax from customers in fraudulent ways and not deposit the same to govt.

Hi,

Firstly, you should ask him to give you proper bill which will have his GST registration number written on it. If you are also GST registered, ask him to put your GST registration details in the bill.

Please let me know if you are GST registered or not? Because if you are GST registered, you can make sure that your GST amount goes into the kity of government.

Please feel free to call revert in case you need more clarity

Thanks and regards

Hi,
Its mandatory to have GST no in the invoice, if somebody is collecting GST. Just ask him to send the invoice with GST no and then its advisable to pay as GST.

Hi

Make sure you get a proper tax invoice. The invoice should contain GSTN. In case of doubt, you can also ask the interior designer to share with you the details of GST registration.
