Income from Sharing trading not disclosed so far

Hi, I am a salaried person. So far, I have been filling my income tax basis the form-16 from employer. At the parallel, for past 5/6 years I have some bit of direct investment in share market. I have never reported this income/loss from share investment in my annual ITR. Somehow, the annual assessment from department has been positive all the time. Now, how to get this straight since this can be detected in any subsequent years and I will be in a difficult state to answer that. As an option: 1. can I sell my holding from current broker/DP and get that current trading account closed in this FY. Once again not disclosing the net profit in this ITR. Have a hibernation of 6/12 months and then have a new account with some new broker. 2. Disclose the current years profit as 'other income' and explain that I have started stock investment starting this year only. The point to confirm is that for a salaried employee with primary income falling under Form 16, do I need to furnish a trading account/statement for income showed under 'other income'. 3. Any other efficient solution. Dont want to go for opening the cane of worm for all previous years, paying tax penalty for previous years not disclosing etc.
